Rocky 9.4 aarch64 netboot installer installs 64k kernel

Hi there, We noticed that on Rocky 9.4 aarch64, the 64k kernel is being installed by default when using the netboot ISO/PXE. The DVD image does not seem to have this issue (at least I couldn't reproduce it with it). This was also reported in the forum [1] around the release of 9.4. The problem does not seem to occur with version 9.3. We have a very minimal kickstart configuration for installation, which includes only @^minimal-environment, grub, and kexec-tools. CloudGeneric Base image version 8.7 of Rocky Linux seems broken

Hello, guys, That's great that you released new version of the distro but when we try to create server from this image https://download.rockylinux.org/pub/rocky/8/images/x86_64/Rocky-8-GenericCl… it is not possible and freeze on "Booting from Hard Disk". Please see attached screenshot. The checksum of the downloaded content has been verified. Please check what should be the reason for that and if the image is broken please provide new version. xorriso report cmd failing on RockyLinux 9.x ISO

Greetings, FYI The following xorriso (1.5.4) command fails on RockyLinux 9.0 and 9.1. It does not fail on RockyLinux 8.7. It fails on both macos and linux. xorriso -indev Rocky-9.1-x86_64-minimal.iso -report_system_area as_mkisofs This is surprising since it's a very common pattern to determine how an ISO was built. Then this information is used when remastering the ISO. This technique works perfectly with debian, ubuntu, and all flavors of redhat/fedora EXCEPT rockylinux. It works perfectly with all versions of almalinux. It would seem the way the ISO is built changed from 8.7 to 9.x, and it is somewhat unconventional. There are likely very good reasons why it's done unconventionally. But it might be best if this approach did not cause the aforementioned command to fail. Cheers, Robert Nielsen robert(a)dakota.org

Subject: Is it possible to upgrade CentOS 7.9 with Virtualmin/Webmin to Rocky Linux 9.0? Good day from Singapore, I understand both CentOS Linux and Rocky Linux follow Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). I have 2 CentOS 7.9 Linux virtual private servers (VPS) in Europe. They are running Virtualmin/Webmin web hosting control panel in master and slave configuration. Unfortunately, the end of life (EOL) date for CentOS 7.9 is 30 June 2024, which is less than 2 years away. Is it possible to upgrade CentOS 7.9 with Virtualmin/Webmin to Rocky Linux 9.0? Is it technically impossible or too troublesome and complicated? Please advise. Thank you.
