Vendor Table at Linux Conference SELF 2022

Hello, My name is Striker. There is a Linux Conference happening this year in Charlotte, NC and a possible opportunity for Rocky Linux to have a vendor table there at no charge. I'd like to know if there are any restrictions to simply create a sign with the Rocky Linux logo and host the table myself. I've hosted and assisted tables in the past for different projects, including Fedora and WineHQ and would like to do the same this year for RL. Striker

"R" installation?

Hello, I am using the latest AlmaLinux release 8.5 (Arctic Sphynx). I could not install "R" (a static package) and I have epel installed. They are in the powertools repository. powertools is not enabled by default. Can't find kernel build dependencies

I'm trying to install the kernel source to chase down a network problem. (Use the source, Luke! I want to read through the SLAAC code to understand why my IPv6 token isn't getting used.) So I downloaded the source RPM and used yum-builddep to try to install anything necessary to do an "rpmbuild -bp kernel.spec". (That should unpack the source RPM and apply all the patches but not do any actual building.) I'm finding a few packages missing: dwarves libbabeltrace-devel libbpf-devel I don't see them here for direct download, either: <https://download.rockylinux.org/pub/rocky/8/BaseOS/x86_64/os/Packages/d/> <https://download.rockylinux.org/pub/rocky/8/BaseOS/x86_64/os/Packages/l/> Help!

[Introduction] Just... Hello !

Hello there Rocky Community, Just sending a mail to introduce myself. I'm new to Rocky community, my name is Sandro and I'm a system architect on both private and public clouds during the day. I spend most of my days automating software solutions, creating infrastructures (mostly on AWS for public cloud part but also on GCP or private clouds) or debugging obscure applications, using bash, python, cloudformation, terraform and Ansible. My hobbies are comics, movies, books, tv shows, I'm kinda pop culture addict. I was formerly a Mandriva package contributor, then a Mageia package contributor, and now I want to spend time and energy on Rocky Linux because I find the project useful and inspiring. So for now, as a beginning, I'll do some testing, QA, and help wherever I can. I would gladly help on infrastructure, python/C(++)/Perl development, package creation/maintenance, documentation, whatever you want in the future :) I'll be thursday on testing team meeting if you wanna meet me in video :) See ya !
